Yantra Yoga: Tibetan Yoga of Movement,

Choegyal Namkhai Norbu

General Notes

Vajra Body.

Yantra means body. Memory guides prana.

Nyida (sun and moon) Khajor (union).

Yoga in Tibetan means original discovery.

If you can control your energy then you can control your mind.

In Yantra the sequence of breaths is more important than the pose. 4 count cycle of the breaths. 5 series with 4 breaths each.

Main practice is 5 yantras and 5 pranas.

Kumbhaka is special breathing holding the breath. Important to balance it with cooling.

Tantra Dzogchen is transforming emotion into energy.

Sutras teach you how to stop emotions. You cannot change via deity in yoga but with original condition.

Uma is the central channel that connects Roma (white, pleasure, moon, left in men, right in women) with the Kyaguan (soul).

Visualize the breaths from chakras. 8 at the heart, 16 at the throat, 32 at the head, 64 at the navel.

Goal is to capture prana from the central channel.
