Prison Yoga Project: A Path for Healing and Recovery, James Fox

This is an excellent “all you need to know about yoga” manual for someone who is incarcerated. It covers the yamas, niyamas, and the rest of the ashtanga.

There are dozens of pages of poses for a basic sequence, an intermediate sequence, and a Taoist sequence too. The instructions clarify everything from the breath to the asana.

There is then a discussion of at least half a dozen specific Pranayama techniques. After this there are tips for a daily centering and meditation practice.

This book is extremely well put together.
